Lab Retreat 2023 at Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Farm

Our annual retreat this year started at Limantour Beach onto the Muddy Hollow Trailhead, and continued with a short drive to Point Reyes Station Farmstead Cheese for tasting of delicious cheese and dessert selections. Those, who did not have to rush to the city to recover before the SF Marathon the next day (go Allison, Brandon and Lieza!), made a stop at Heidrun Meadery for a tasting of sparking meads. Perfect ending to a perfect day!

Feels like Hawaii at the Limantour Beach

The PEAK3/14-3-3 paper is published!

Congratulations Hayarpi, Michael, Devan and our collaborators! This paper concludes our long quest for obtaining a high resolution structure of the PEAK3 pseudokinase revealing its unusual binding mode to 14-3-3, and the importance of its interaction for the modulation of PEAK3 role as a signaling scaffold.

Raph’s review is published!

Congrats Raph on publication of the review article “Receptor Tyrosine Kinase activation: from the ligand perspective” in Current Opinion in Cell Biology! It is now available for download. Great job with highlighting the diversity of RTK ligands and the mechanisms by which the ligands bias signaling responses downstream from the activated receptors.
