Advanced Technologies

In the new research building, CVRI plans a neighborhood that will be devoted to the development and adoption of cutting-edge technologies and tools to support and enhance research capabilities. Areas of focus will include the development of new biomarkers and imaging tools (both microscopy and whole body imaging) for following processes related to cardiovascular disease in cells and in animals and humans. These activities will take advantage of new genotyping and proteomic technologies, bioinformatics, advanced light microscopy, and nanotechnology. Collaborations with all the other programs are envisioned.
