Bruce Conklin, MD
Professor, Medicine
Dr. Conklin uses patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) to model potential CRISPR therapies in cardiomyocytes and neurons. Dominant mutations are particularly promising targets since precise CRISPR inactivation of disease-causing alleles could provide a cure. Allele specific gene inactivation could be beneficial to a wide range of dominant genetic diseases.
