Since its inception in 1958, the CVRI has stood at the forefront of medical research and innovation. The CVRI has been a beacon of excellence in postdoctoral and student training, with nearly 3000 fellows having advanced their expertise and propelled our research initiatives forward. Today, CVRI is home to over 50 state-of-the-art laboratories and hosts a vibrant community of postdoctoral fellows and graduate students.

The CVRI faculty’s commitment to multidisciplinary research provides trainees with a comprehensive and integrative perspective, essential for pioneering cardiovascular and cardiopulmonary science and medicine advancements. Our rigorous training program, which includes intensive mentored research and specialized coursework, is designed to prepare individuals for careers in biomedical science in academia, biotech, and the pharmaceutical industry.
