Priyanka's research is focused on the role of the adaptive immune system in cardiomyopathies. She currently works on myocarditis mediated my immune checkpoint inhibitors and genetic cardiac diseases including arrythmogenic cardiomyopathies. She uses techniques such as flow cytometry, bioinformatics and animal models to study B and T cells in the heart. Previously, she completed her PhD from the University of Pittsburgh where her PhD thesis was focused on the role of the role of TIM-3 on T cells in acute viral infections.
