The Kenneth S. Cole Award is a prestigious recognition given to one or more researchers in the field of membrane biophysics in acknowledgment of their exceptional research accomplishments, potential for future contributions, and service to the biophysics community. The Kenneth S. Cole Award is presented by the Channels, Receptors, & Transporters subgroup of the Biophysical Society and is named for the American biophysicist described by his peers as “a pioneer in the application of physical science to biology."
